About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on leader to provide financial, operational and day-to-day business management during a 12-month maternity leave.  This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role during a defining period of change and growth for the company.  The ideal candidate is a senior finance professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is equally comfortable setting strategic direction and rolling up their sleeves to execute core operational responsibilities.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and guide the finance team (2 people), enhancing existing processes to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Lead financial planning, including long-range financial modeling, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and strategic scenario analysis
  • Act as an advisor to the CEO and leadership team, providing insights to support strategic decision-making, growth initiatives and special projects
  • Manage ongoing communications and reporting with investors and lenders
  • Partner with business leaders to track performance against strategic objectives and provide actionable financial analysis
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reporting packages for management, lenders and the Board of Directors
  • Actively manage cash flow, delivering accurate and dynamic forecasts
  • Oversee government grants and tax credit programs, including SR&ED
  • Conduct full cycle People and Culture administration, including performance management, talent development, employee lifecycle processes and total rewards
  • Execute office management and internal communications end-to-end, from planning through delivery
  • Oversee the completion of the year-end financial audit and support SOC 2 compliance
  • Evaluate and enhance policies, procedures and internal controls to strengthen governance and support continued growth, including oversight of legal and contractual matters

What you’ll need 
  • CPA designation
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Strong FP&A capabilities, including cash flow management
  • Track record of strengthening processes to support organizational scale
  • Experience in operations management and SaaS considered an asset
  • Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing financial insight to support strategic decision-making
